FLIGHTS TO SLOVAKIA
Sky Europe: low-cost flight company. They fly from Bratislava to Košice and from other parts of Europe too, including London Stansted and Barcelona.
There is no airport in Prešov, the nearest one is in Košice. (60 km away from Sabinov). Sky Europe is a reliable company and their prices are tailored for the people in Slovakia, so they are OK and it is safe to use their services.
The other possibility to get to Sabinov is to land at the airport in Bratislava. But that would mean next 5 hours in IC train from Bratislava to Sabinov via Presov.
And what I (Gabriela) would probably do: I would fly to Prague and then to Košice.

DATES:
The "Cultural Night" in Lund takes place on Saturday the 23 September next year, so it would be interesting for you to come on the Thursday before, i.e. the 21 September. Friday would be school visits and I suppose you'd be returning on the following Monday, the 25th.

Flights via Malmoe: There will be Ryanair going to Malmoe.
Flights via Copenhagen: any flight to Copenhagen. From Copenhagen there are regular trains taking you by the bridge to Malmoe, and then to Eslöv.

TRIP TO SLOVAKIA GROUP FROM SWEDEN I have now booked our flights to Budapest: Wednesday May 03 Flight 5P-853, Departure Copenhagen 09:40, Arrival Budapest-Ferihegy 1 11:30 Monday May 08 Flight 5P-852, Daparture Budapest-Ferihegy 1 17:45, Arrival Copenhagen 19:45 There was no flight on the 4th, so we decided to spend one night in Budapest. We will be booking seats on the IC train to Kosice departing at 15:00 on the 4th, arriving at 18:11 at Kosice. On the return journey we will have to catch the 7:55 train on the 8th arriving 11:07 in Budapest. For the transport Kosice-Sabinov I suppose we will have to rely on either sharing a taxi or taking the local train (on the 4th). These will be travelling from Sweden: Antonia Hellstam, Christine Andreasson (a woman of my generation, school secretary and very much involved with everything practical or photographic/artistic in this project), and Emilia Österberg (student in her 20's from northern Sweden, esthetic programme). We will need one double and one single room, please.
