THURSDAY,
JANUARY 26th
(From 18.00 on) Pick-up of the visiting teachers and
students at the bus station of Avilés.
FRIDAY,
JANUARY 27th
(9.30) Reception of the visiting teachers and students
at Hotel Silken
Villa de Avilés. Bus journey to Aceralia.
(10-12.30) Visit of Aceralia,
Avilés, (Aceralia is a division of Arcelor, a global leader of
the steel industry).
(12.30-14.00) Bus journey to Cabo
Peñas, visit -in English- of the natural surroundings and
of the Museum of Cabo Peñas (Centro del Medio Marino de Peñas).
(14.30) Arrival at the hotel.
(14.30-16.15) Lunch and free time.
(16.15-16.25) Meeting of all members of the group at
Plaza de España (Town Hall area), Avilés.
(16.30-18.00) Guided visit
of
Avilés -in English- (courtesy of
The Tourist Office of Avilés).
(18.30-20.30) Meeting at EOI Avilés: The visiting
teachers and students will be introduced to some teachers of our school
and will visit some classrooms where they will be asked questions about
their countries and cultures.
Introductory working meeting. Topic of the meeting: Project application
2006-2007.
(20.30-21.15) Free time.
(21.15)The visiting teachers and students will be picked
up at Hotel
Silken Villa de Avilés.
(21.30) Dinner (Asturian "Espicha") at the
Restaurant "La
Cofradía", Avilés (opposite the train station).
Price of the menu: 15 € + VAT. Drinks are included, except coffee.
SATURDAY,
JANUARY 28th
(9.30) Visiting teachers and students will be collected at
Hotel Silken Villa de Avilés.
(9.30-10) Bus journey to Oviedo.
Changes may be necessary due to adverse weather condition.
(10-16.00+/-)
Visit of the city of Oviedo,
free time and lunch.
The visit includes: View of the city from Mount Naranco, visit of the
Old District (1,
2).
Optional visits: Cathedral's
Museum and Museum
of Fine Arts.
(16.00-16.30) Bus journey to Gijón.
(16.30-19.00) Visit
of the city of Gijón: Visit of the monument "Elogio
del Horizonte", of the "Universidad Laboral", San Lorenzo
Beach and surrounding area and final stop at the Town Hall and the
Old District.
(19.00-19.30) Return journey to Avilés. Dinner
and free time.
SUNDAY,
JANUARY 29th
(From morning till evening) Grundtvig students will enjoy a
whole day for a cultural "treasure-hunt" of Avilés
or for optional visits of nearby councils. They will be accompanied
by EOI Avilés's volunteering students. Students will only use
public transport (bus or train).
(From morning till 14.00) Grundtvig teachers and coordinators
will have the option of accompanying the students in their visits. They
may also choose to rest in the hotel or organize their own visits, accompanied
by some Spanish teachers.
(14.00-16.00) Working lunch for the Grundtvig coordinators.
Working topic: Project application 2006-2007 and first approach to the
election of a new general coordinator of the European Project.
Visiting teachers may join this working lunch if they wish or if their
coordinators want them to but the main target of this informal meeting
is to have a small group of people (those who will be filling in the
application form) discussing technical aspects of the project.
(16.30-21.00) Grundtvig meeting involving teachers
and coordinators.
Topic of the meeting: Assessment of the project activities so far, planning
of new activities (February-May 2006). Proposals for the list of activities
to be included in the application form of the Grundtvig Project (2006-2007).
Meeting
place: EOI Avilés.
(21.00) Dinner.
MONDAY,
JANUARY 30th
(9.30-12.15) Grundtvig meeting involving teachers and coordinators,
interrupted by visits of some classrooms. Topic of the meeting to be
determined by all partners depending on our needs at the time.
(11.45-12.25) Possible activity: Interview at the local
radio station: Radio Avilés.
(12.30-13.00) Activity for all the Grundtvig teachers,
students and coordinators: Official reception by
Santiago Rodríguez Vega, Avilés's Major at the City's
Town Hall.
(13.00-15.30) Lunch and free time.
(16.30-21.00) Grundtvig meeting involving teachers
and coordinators.
Topic of the meeting: Completing the application form of the Grundtvig
Project 2006-2007.
Visit of some classrooms. The meeting will also be interrupted in order
to carry out a talk and visual presentation of some aspects of the partners's
countries and cultures. The talk will last for an hour.
(21.00) Dinner and farewell.
TUESDAY,
JANUARY 31st
All Grundtvig partners will be returning to their home countries.
